Visit Niagara Falls This Fall
Niagara Falls is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations year round, but the fall brings the very best out of the entire region. With the kids in school, Halloween and Thanksgiving to celebrate, and the changing of the seasons, autumn is the perfect time to visit Niagara Falls.
There is nothing quite like fall in the Falls.
Concerts and Shows
Niagara is famous for a lot more than just the falls, in fact there is so much to do that you would (almost) be forgiven for forgetting about one of the world’s largest waterfalls altogether. From May right through to the end of October, Niagara Parks-Falls and Coca-Cola Concerts bring live music to the falls. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Yuk-Yuks comedy provides lots of laughter at Casino Niagara which also hosts free live music throughout October while Niagara Parks shows films at a modern amphitheatre in Old Fort Erie.
Apple and Pumpkin Picking
The fall season wouldn’t be complete without the sights and smells of the plentiful fields and orchards. The Niagara region is renowned for its many ranches and farms with acres dedicated to fruit and vegetables. Everyone can come and enjoy the family fun with many farms offering “pick-your-own” fruit and homemade baked goods or crafts, alongside pictures with showcase pumpkins, horse-driven wagon and hay rides, face-painting, corn mazes, live entertainment and your favourite farm animals petting zoos. Don’t forget to take home some gourds; squashes and Indian corn for all your fall decorative needs!
For a spooky experience that will leave your heart racing and your date pulled in close, visit Niagara this Halloween. Haunt Manor occupies a haunted (and historic) site built in 1812, and is filled with Hollywood quality makeup and costumes. Due to the intense nature of the experience Haunt Manor is not recommended for children, but thankfully there is more than enough Halloween action in Niagara for people of all ages. From Ballroom Bashes to screenings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, you are sure to have a frighteningly good time celebrating Halloween in Niagara.
Niagara wine is enjoyed year round the world over, but there is something special about enjoying Niagara wine in fall. As the days get shorter there is nothing like a glass of Niagara wine to lift your day.
Experience wine expertly paired with meals prepared by our world class chefs, or take a romantic winery tour in the crisp fall weather to enjoy the changing leaves.
Speaking of the changing leaves, in fall the lush green spaces that surround Niagara Falls explode into a beautiful spectrum of red, orange, and yellow. The vivid colours almost illuminate the scenery around them, and provide the perfect juxtaposition against the clear sky above and the ferocious Niagara Falls themselves.
Take a drive through the region, a wine tour, hike, cycle, or a river ride to experience the colours at ground level. For a bird’s eye view take to the skies from the Skylon Tower viewing area (and why not enjoy some Niagara wine paired with your fall favourite foods at our revolving restaurant or buffet). Come and enjoy the Summit Suite, now open only for Sunday Brunch.
