Maintenance Team Member

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Shift Engineer Manager, the Maintenance Team Member will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the building, the building’s systems, and the property grounds. This will include conducting minor equipment repairs, painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.

The ideal candidate must be a team-oriented individual and work effectively independently. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator that is professional and consistently acts with a high degree of integrity.

  • 40 Hours Per Week
  • High School (preferred)

YOUR IMPACT
• Ensure that the property is maintained and safe for guests and employees.
• Ensure maintenance/repair services level is maintained to include electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, structural, facilities, ground, and parking areas.
• Ensure timely response to requests for service by guests, employees, and management including repair or replacement of all interior fixtures and furnishings.
• Ensure implementation of ongoing Preventive Maintenance program.
• Maintain emergency procedures and equipment and assists with the implementation of all emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
• Ensure that all public areas are clean and orderly, including picking up debris or garbage.
• Maintain departmental communication.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

ABOUT YOU
• 2+ years ‘hands-on’ general institutional or industrial building maintenance experience.
• Plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical experience is a definite asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize a diverse workload.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
