The Skylon Tower is looking for a Revenue Auditor to join our Accounting Department.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Revenue Auditor will be responsible for audits of revenue streams, including sales, returns, allowances, and discounts. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate must be a team-oriented individual and work effectively independently. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator that is professional and consistently acts with a high degree of integrity.

- Perform detailed audits of revenue transactions and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Analyze and reconcile revenue accounts, highlighting any discrepancies or anomalies for further investigation.
- Collaborate with the sales and billing departments to verify transaction integrity and resolve any discrepancies identified during the audit process.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on audit findings, including recommendations for improving internal controls and revenue recognition practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent errors in revenue reporting and to enhance the overall effectiveness of the revenue audit process.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations that affect revenue recognition and ensure that company practices are in compliance.
- Participate in the monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring that revenue-related entries are accurately recorded in a timely manner.
- Support external audit activities related to revenue by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and projects related to revenue as needed.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience is preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, especially as they relate to revenue recognition.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be available to workdays, evenings, and occasional weekend shifts.
