Niagara Wine Culture
The Niagara region is famous for its grape growing and winemaking for over 200 years. Winemaking in the Niagara region was small business when it first started; however the industry has flourished and now the Niagara region is comprised of a network of wineries and vineyards. The most important concept about the evolution of the wine industry in the Niagara region is its community that consists of many experienced and dedicated wine makers.
To celebrate wine culture in the Niagara region, Niagara hosts annual wine festivals to promote wine culture in Niagara and to show visitors what they won’t get at their local wine stores. Some of the most anticipated wine festivals near Niagara Falls is the Niagara Ice Wine Festival and the Niagara Wine Festival.
